Similans Diving and Liveaboards Essential Info



Discover why diving the Similans is so revered by divers around the world. Beginning this year we have a brand new liveaboard that goes to Similans, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock for 4 days - 4 nights. 11 dives and 2 night dives.
The luxurious boat is 3 years old and has 10 en-suite cabins for 2 people and sets the standard for all liveaboards to follow. With 20 people max  and with no groups bigger than 4 people your Similans diving experience will be second to none. Nitrox available on request. Big luxurious common areas with internet access available when on island 4 and 8 of the Similans. This is the perfect diving addition to your Thailand gap year

 

 

The most Luxurious Liveaboard in the Similans



Over 35 meters long, the Xtreme Gap livaboard  is by far one of the most comfortable yachts cruising the Similans. Fully equipped  her 10 double air-conditioned cabins features its own en-suite and provides  in privacy and convenience for all her happy guests. Electricity points are also featured and in the deluxe rooms your also have work stations popular with underwater photographers. Due to the large size of the ship, many guests spend the majority of their spare time between dives in luxurious and generously apportioned  common areas of the boat. There is a spacious lounge with a large TV, a DVD player and a wide selection of DVDs available to suit most tastes. If you are after peace and quiet the boat is equipped with a generous library which you can raid before relaxing on the comfy sound loungers on the large upper deck, or in the outside lounge on the main deck. Indoor and outdoor dining areas are also great features on the boat, each being large enough on its own to accommodate all of the guests and crew for meals. Whatever the weather throws at her everyone will be able to dine in comfort. No expense is spared ensuring your meals will be as good as the diving as our experienced chefs will create tasty and delicious menus during your stay. The onboard multi-lingual staff  speak many languages including  English, German, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Dutch, Flemish, and Japanese. 

 


Nitrox available on board



The  ships onboard Nitrox system enables  Nitrox certified divers to extend their bottom times with enriched air mixes. Do not worry if you are not  Nitrox certified, should you wish to become qualified we offer Nitrox certification on board, as well as other courses such as deep specialty and photo specialty. The Similans Diving group sizes are kept small (max 4 people unless a group booking prefers to all stay together), and your diving equipment will be  washed and your tanks refilled for you by our highly trained staff. If you are accompanied by non divers, they are welcome to go as a snorkeling guest, or even complete an open water course on board.  We will even organise the  first day of Open Water training in the pool before the trip so you can get the most out of  your time at sea.

 


 


Accommodation



The standard rooms feature on the lower deck and can be occupied  as  twins or doubles. The rooms each en-suite and electricity points. 578 per person.



The Deluxe rooms are located on the main deck and are all twins. These luxurious rooms generous windows and big desks with 220v outlets. These rooms are popular with  underwater photographers. Naturally they feature an en-suite as well. 635 per person. 



The Master cabins have large windows for panoramic views, and can be equipped as  twins or doubles, they also feature electric and  have larger ensuites with sink, toilet and hot shower. 675  per person for Divers.

Rates are per person, based on double occupancy cabins. When possible, we will allow individual customers to have their own room however if you are not able to have this and would like to guarantee as single room there is a 40% surcharge enabling this.

The programme begins in Khao Lak, Thailand. If you would like assistance with your flights, we can assist with sourcing the best value flight options, just indicate on your booking form.

Don't have the time or budget to dive the Similans on a
liveaboard? Don't worry, we also, we run day trips to  Dive the
Similans, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu. The Xtreme gap year speedboats
will run from  Nov. 10th till mid April and we will run a second speedboat from December 10 to till March 15th. Both

Itinerary



The Itinerary depends on what diving course you would like to follow or if you are doing only fun dives. You can make a maximum of 5 dives a day.

Non divers are welcome too and can snorkel.
