No experience necessary although you have to have a reasonable level of fitness, this programme can either be taken as part of a Thailand gap year or Thailand fitness holiday. World champions and complete beginners all train at our MMA training
camp. No matter what your level of experience at our camp can learn or
improve your mixed martial arts skills to an impressive level.

How much you learn depends on the amount of time you stay, on your previous experience and on how hard you train. One
thing is for sure however, if you spend your gap year training here you will become a bad ass!

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that allows a wide
variety of fighting techniques from a mixture of Martial Arts traditions
and non-traditions, to be used in competitions. Our (MMA) Mixed Martial Arts Training Camp Thailand focuses mainly
on Boxing, Muay Thai and Judo and Jiu-jitsu styles to perfect your skills as well
rounded fighter.



The Training



At our training camp you can train from 07:00 to 19:00 from Monday to Saturday. The MMA group training is led by a professional MMA fighters. There are several group trainings from beginners to pro’s.

Training MMA in Thailand means training in an extra humid environment, the rainforest gives you the best atmosphere for your MMA training.




There are two different group trainings



Morning group session (Monday to Friday). 2 hour beginner to intermediate training: 9:00-11:00


Open to anyone regardless of skill level or experience.


This class is designed for the individual who is looking to discover the martial art of submission grappling or already has up to 12 months experience. Grappling arts will include Sambo, Judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Catchwrestling, etc. The instructions will be focused on expanding your knowledge of grappling to improve your overall MMA performance.



Afternoon group session (Monday to Friday) 2 and a bit hour intermediate to advance training. 16:00-18:15


Open to anyone with at least 12 months of experience in grappling art.


Training for everyone looking to compete in Mixed Martial Arts. Instruction will be at a faster pace than the morning group
training session and the focus will be more on strategy, conditioning, and overall performance. The training begins with 3 rounds of shadow, then pads and sparring under the supervision of a champion Muay Thai fighters. After the striking, class
continues with various MMA oriented grappling drills, followed by a competition level cardio session.

Saturday open mat


Saturday we finish the training sessions at 12 and from that time open mat starts. Open Mat is similar to a school “Study Hall”. Students can train on whatever they want and there will be an instructor there to answer your questions.



This is a Boot Camp! So 2 hours of training a day is not enough! Next to the MMA training there are so many other classes you can join at the MMA school:


  • A running programme
  • Morning Yoga and meditation sessions
  • Fitness sessions
  • Unlimited access to our weightlifting area
  • Option to personal training and nutrition sessions.
  • Also we have weekly training sessions on the beach. 



The MMA Facilities




 Our fully equipped MMA training centre is in a beautiful location, situated in a tropical forest on the tropical island of Phuket. Equipped
with several Muay Thai rings; An MMA Cage, A $28,000 USD complete weight-lifting facility; 4 Muay Thai rings and MMA training area with over 200 sq. meters of rolling area with padded walls and  28
professional fighters available to instruct you
! With out doubt, this is the worlds best place to learn MMA.







Accommodation



We offer our guests 3 different accommodation options at the training camp.
From Budget rooms to luxury Bungalows. All rooms are safe, clean and located on or close by the MMA training camp. On the training camp we also have wifi and a laundry service is available at extra cost for all our camp guests. If you accommodation does not have a pool, you can use the pools for about 2 euro a day (paid locally)

Fighter Rooms: These rooms are located on the campus. Each room has a single bed, fan, dresser, small fridge, TV/cable, DVD, and wifi Internet. There is a shared bathroom facility which is clean and has toilets, a hot and cold shower, and dressing areas located next to the rooms.



Standard bungalows/Rooms (depending on availability): Each gym bungalow is located at the camp and comes with a large bed, air, wifi internet, TV, DVD, cable, hot water shower, wardrobe and fridge. Maid service cleans the room 2 times per week.



Luxury Bungalow: Depending on availability we have Bungalow located in Lush gardens and at most bungalows there is a pool. You have your own veranda with good seats to rest after a day of training. En-suite, TV, DVD, Wardrobe, kitchenette, maid service, hot water, aircon, wifi and in walking distance from the training camp.






Getting There



The programme begins in Phuket. If you would like assistance with your flights, we can assist with sourcing the best value flight options, just indicate on your booking form. On arrival in Phuket airport you will be mate by a representative and taken to the training centre.

Meal Plan


We have also included a Meal plan to benefit your training. There is a choice of the Thai dishes that rotate through the menu or order from our healthy menu that includes vegan/vegetarian/raw dishes and foods like grilled, BBQ, herb and curried chicken (no oil), salmon and other seafood, soup of the day (vegetarian), bean salads, red/brown rice, steamed vegetables, mung bean and other green shakes, etc.

Each meal comes with fruit, water and coffee or tea. There is also usually a daily special our chef puts together in the afternoon.

Itinerary



GROUP WARM UP

Shall consist of; Jogging around outside of mat, bear crawl, high knee jog, butt-kicking jog, inside side step, outside side step, etc. Upon completion of jogging warm up the student will conduct several fundamental grappling techniques to include; back falls, front rolls, cartwheels, hip escapes, pull-through and such.

GROUP STRETCH

Stretches are to include total body. Class will sit in a circle and will conduct stretches starting with the lower body and working in a progressive manner completing with the upper body. Neck crunches will conclude the stretching exercise, Sets of 50 to include all range of movement.

DRILLING

Technique will be demonstrated by the instructor, observed by the class participants and eventually practiced by the participant for the instructor to witness and provide constructive feedback. Instructional material covered will vary depending on size, skill, and logical flow of the course.

CARDIOVASCULAR ENDURANCE AND PLYOMETRIC TRAINING

This portion of the MMA class will increase a participants overall fitness, providing them with the tools necessary to achieve their own personal goals. Students will be expected to participate to their full ability, however, drills and exercises may be modified by the instructor for individuals struggling to maintain with the class pace. Workouts will be designed to increase cardio endurance, decrease body fat, and improve overall athleticism.

LETS ROLL MMA

Students will be given adequate time to spar/drill/incorporate the daily lesson. The instructor will pair students into groups and designate timed rounds, allowing individuals to compete in a non-confrontational atmosphere.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

MMA Students will need to wear appropriate clothing including undergarments, shirt, and shorts (no zipper or ripped clothes). Gi pants may be worn. Finger and Toe Nails need to be trimmed and neatly kept. Individuals will be expected to own a mouth guard. Jock protector and cup are optional.
