What is a Film Maker?

You will be a camera man/woman, producer, director editor and seller in one! Producing a movie of peoples diving experiences can be a nice little earner in Koh Tao, especailly when you have an internship with a busy production company with lots of work.

What prior experience do I need to join?

You need to have divng experince, because you will be atking a camera underwater. You need a minimum of your Advanced Openwater and 20 logged dives. Even better is to be a Rescue diver or even a Divemaster. We can help you to train up to the correct level. On our blog you find all prerequisites on the course.

Who Joins the film maker course?

Beginners and Professionals!

The Xtreme Gap filmmaker course is aimed at industry professionals, both divers and film makers, with the goal of reaching broadcast level camera operator.
Our main focus is on producing, and contributing, to documentaries. Editing is introduced at the end of the course and is required daily during the internship but it is important to stress that we are in the business of creating top class underwater camera operators, not office staff. The vast majority of the internship is focused on diving and improving your skills shooting video underwater. It seems to me that, with your knowledge, you may become a good addition to our team.

We have many diving instructors and professional film makers taking our courses and we have a 100% success rate as we spend the time to make sure each and every student
progresses to the very high levels which we expect.

Not much experience yet?

That said we also take on Advanced Divers with a minimum of 20 logged dives and we can help you train to that level. People who have never touched a video camera and have had just as much success with the rookies.

The purpose of our intense training is to create underwater film crews of the highest standard who are available to work on documentaries and other broadcast projects when they arise.
In the mean time you can earn a living shooting every day and fine tuning their skills making resort films for tourists.
