When and How
The first thing to think about when planning a round the world trip is what you want to do, where you want to go and more importantly is how much money can I save!
Budget
Planning your gap year budget is important, as this will effect how much you can do and how much fun you are going to have! Fortunately when planning these trips we take your payment in stages and well ahead of your departure date. This is ideal because the activities, accommodation and logistics tends to take the lions share of overall travel expense.
This gives you ample opportunity to save for the following costs:
-
Activities, Accommodation and logistics
-
Flights
-
Visas, travel insurance
-
Spending money
If you like the look of this itinerary you then need to check flights. fares@longreachtravel.co.uk is the email you need to get a round the world quote. Please mention that you are an Xtreme Gap customer. One of the most popular times to travel in the beginning of Febuary after the price of flights have come down after Christmas, but this does mean you will hit Australia in the Winter, better still is to head off in Late November.
Booking process
When you are happy that that the flights are affordable and you have an idea of when you want to go away please email us to discuss your itinerary, we can tweek it if needed. When you are happy with everything it is time to submit your booking form, this will then be processed and an Email will be sent to you with a confirmation invoice.
The balance is payable in stages so ease the burden of what will be a signigficant expense.
As you can imagine there is a lot that goes into planning around the world trip, and whilst some people like to just look around the world ticket and head off on their travels without pre-booking anything, not only do you get all the above activities accommodation and transport and adventures arranged for you it helps give some structure to your travels, which can actually save you money because a lot of people who go travelling can end up drifting around slowly blowing their budget without doing all the really exciting once-in-a-lifetime stuff and ultimately they miss out on all the good opportunities to travel can bring.
