Are there set start dates?

The tour runs all year long and starts every Thursday. Alternitively you can add the Work Up Pack Gold or Platinum and start on a Monday. The Work Up Packages help you find a job before, after or while you are doing the UItimate Australia Tour.

Will there always be others on the tour?

You will meet people very easily especially because we take you out on the first evening. The you have Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Sydney to check it out and do the harbour jet boat ride which you will do with a group of about 7 to 10 people. On Monday you will meet lot's of others on the surf bus. After this you will be brought to Byron Bay where some will say their good byes but most get on to a new adventure just like you.

How long is the trip be?

We suggest at least 7 weeks but you can use the bus pass (one way) up to 6 months. So it is up to you.

Do I need to pre-book all my accommodation?

No, and please do not so. You can make reservations a few days before or ask the driver of the bus that same day to make a reservation for the night. There are always spaces reserved for people on the bus. We provide you with a few vouchers, but if you stay longer you can make reservations with the bus driver, who is also your guide. It is as easy as that.

How much money do I need to take?

There is no need to take a lot of cash as there are ATM's everywhere we stop. Payments can be done in cash or by card. The amount of money you need depends on how long you go and if you wish to go out a lot etc. You need to have some savings for this trip. Also it is probably a once in a life time trip, and you want to get the most out of it.

Here we have listed some costs (prices are indication and may vary due to change in currency rates).

• Dorm accommodation will cost about €10 to €15.
• Meals are about €5 to €15, but you always have the possibility to cook in the big kitchens of the hostels. This is also a fun way to get to know other people. You will be cooking side to side, most people make spaghetti :)
• Drinks: a beer will be €2 and wine will be about €3 to €5. But there are always lots of backpacker bars and happy hours. We know what you like.
• Money for extra activities along the way. Out of experience we know it is better to book all you definitely want to do up front, because otherwise you spend it on drinks and you will fail to be able to do all the exiting stuff.

How do I arrange a visa?

On arrival you will receive a 3 month visa, or you can arrange it up front, please check out this website: www.eta.immi.gov.au If you want to work in Australia you need to arrange a work holiday visa upfront. To apply for a working holiday visa you need to be between 18 and 30. www.immi.gov.au/visitors/working-holiday We can help you with getting the correct visa.

What happens in the first three weeks in OZ?

Because it is a flexible tour you can choose when to do certain legs of the trip, so depending on what you choose to do the first three weeks can vary.  In answer to your question though you get considerably more than 5 days of activities. The first 9 nights are pretty much set unless you want to spend extra time in Sydney

This is how it looks like:

• 4 nights in Sydney, doing the wake up pack.
• 5 nights travelling up to Byron bay on the surf tour.
• Whitsundays Cruise (2 nights).
• 5 days in  Cairns with: White water rafting, cape tribulation trip and a trip out on the barrier reef.
• Skydive which you can choose to do in 1 of 4 destinations.
• Trip to fraser island as well (2 nights).

Then your schedule is up to you, you can spend as little or as long as you like completing the rest, because you may decide to stay in certain places longer than others, some people choose to combine this with a working holiday visa too and work a bit longer in one place. For example many people like to hang out in Brisbane and Byron bay a bit longer instead of moving further up north so quickly.

You have 12 months to complete the trip and in total there are 3 weeks of accommodation included in all the activities.
