I Chose to travel with Xtreme Gap essentially because you offered a very unique deal in a country that is fairly off the tourist map, diving was not something i was very interested in until I spoke to olly over the phone, he spoke very enthusiastically and passionately about it...from that point i was basically sold
The best thing about this trip was overcoming fears, meeting new friends, getting to know a new skill, seeing amazing places. Diving is a skill for life which is fantastic.
The best story besides seeing the whaleshark was when I forgot to breath as a giant manta swam about a metre above my head.

I found praia the location of the dive training fantastic, no wonder they call it one of Mozambique‘s most spectacular secrets. Tofo is a small, relaxed little beach town made up of around forty houses and a few hostels and hotels scattered along the beach. Our hostel was very popular and very nice. There was also a nice lively bar and an area where we good have barbecues, which was great for the evenings.
The first time I saw a whaleshark while diving was so intense! I though oh, a shark, but it is nothing like a shark, it is an extremely gentle giant which swims close to the surface and also is very curious and swims up to you. They say he loves the bubbles.
Also I joined some ocean safaris. We went with other tourist to spot whalesharks from the boat,. Nice! Great weather, blue sky, warm sea and seeing this amazing creature was awesome.
As well as whale sharks, there are many more great dive sites. I believe you find here around 30 of the world’s top dive sites, including the Manta Reef.
One thing is certain I would have loved to stay longer!
