Well turns out we picked a pretty good spot for a gap year programme. Despite the main street being ridiculously busy it is fun and the surrounding area is absolutely amazing. This is the place on the HSBC advert with the cormorant fishing and all the mountains in the background and where crouching tiger was filmed. The past few days have been pretty action packed, we have been on bike rides, climbing mountains, kayaked down rivers, been on hikes and sweated a lot even when standing still due to the ridiculous humidity levels in this place. Thanks so far it is very good!

Really fun place, nice to see proper scenery in China as well and get away from the building sites and congestion that the rest of China does so well.

We cycled through the town of Yangshuo yesterday, absolutely wow! Also we went on a river tour on bamboo boats over a river called the Li River and the funny thing is there were Chinese tourist who probably never see Europeans so they all take pictures of us instead we of them hilarious!
