Xtreme Peru Experience - FAQ
Backpacking in Peru does not get better than this. Discover one of the coolest countries in South America, mixing with the Incas and discovering lost worlds. Cusco city tour, Sacred Valley, Inca trail, Macchu Picchu, Floating islands of Uros, Amantani cultural exchange and Taquille are just some of the highlights!
Is a pass for the original Inca trail guaranteed it I book this trip
If you book the Peru experience at least 3 months before departure date we can guarantee the traditional Inca trail! The thing is they only give a low number of passes out a day and this is for porters, guides and tourists, so you have to book well upfront.
What if I book too late
If there are no more passes left we book you on an alternative route, you will reach the same goal and you will not be disappointed!
Are the costs for meals included in the whole Peru Experience
The costs for food is additional, but not on the tours like the Inca trail, all is included. Also sometimes the breakfast is included in the hostels. You would spend between 15 and 20 USD per day for meals and drinks and a couple of beers every now and then.
Are there any extra costs
There are a few small extra costs. There are posts on our blog with activities. Please check this link: Peru Activities and what is included.
This is mainly for park fees that need to be paid locally. Also we do not standard include the flight over the Nazca lines. But this is an optional tour.
Are there set group start dates
The trip start date is very flexible, so we have people starting every day, The groups are never ´full´ so you are welcome to join.
What is the age of the people traveling on the Peru Experience
The average age is 25, with people from 18-19 to 30 and a few up, so very mixed. Most people are in their mid 20 though.
Can I view my itinerary online whilst I am on the road
Once you are booked on you will receive your own log in code to a webpage with your vouchers and itinerary. The transfers, hostels and all tours are arranged and we will have you booked in.
Because it is not set dates, how will I meet other people
Transport is done by local transfer and will be fun, you really get to know the country, there will be others with you on the busses! Most of the trips you will do with different groups, but some might be exactly booked on your itinerary too. All hostels are very social places where you easily make friends. Most travelers, 80% on this trip, travel alone, and love to chat and meet others, probably just like you!
