| The programme will develop your surfing abilities, and train your ability to teach others and then qualify you to work in the industry. Upon successful qualification you will then be given assistance in sourcing work in surf school (although this is not guaranteed your chances will be good). You will then be able to teach others to learn to surf and earn money by working on the beach and in the ocean!

When you consider the large swells and rugged coastline in Australia, it is the ultimate training ground for surf instructors.
To become a surf instructor you will need a basic and competent level of surfing ability, although admittedly you do not have to be an expert, much of the "skill" is gained through practice, alot of which you will gain on this course.
Accommodation
Set in some beautiful surf spots you will split you training over 3 months in some great surf locations, including Byron Bay.

When To Go
It is always a good time to go on a gap year to Australia, It is summer from September to February, but in winter from March to August the waves are better.
