    How

    Fed Air has combined with British Airways to provide cheaper flights from JHB to Vilanculos. The flights can be booked on line. Otherwise contact Ursula Johnson on Ursula.johnson@fedair.com for instruction.

    Where do I arrive?

    Vilanculos is 700km north of Maputo, Mozambiques Capital. The road between Maputo and Vilanculos is accessible by two wheel drive and an affordable luxury bus operates between Johannesburg, Maputo and Vilankulo twice a week. There are also daily direct flights from Johannesburg, Maputo and from the Kruger Park International Airport. All volunteers will be met at either Vilankulo Airport or at the bus drop off point.

    Flight Information

    • A tax of US$20 is payable, at the airport for passengers departing on international flights
    • From Johannesburg there are regular flights to Maputo and Vilanculos
    • Domestic air travel within Mozambique is safe
    • Visitors from Europe will find the most affordable flights are from Lisbon or Paris flying directly into Maputo
